The Stable Yard Coffee Shop

The Coffee Shop is open from 9.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

The Coffee Shop is run by the Cambridge-based company Out to Lunch.

Out to Lunch have a passion for delicious homemade food & excellent coffee and a commitment to providing a relaxed and friendly environment where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea.

They offer light breakfasts, freshly made sandwiches, wraps and paninis along with homemade sausage rolls, quiches and tarts. There are also  oven baked jacket potatoes, homemade soup and hot specials of the day such as homemade lasagne or Newmarket sausages with mustard mash. Plus they have a delicious selection of homemade cakes.

There are two highchairs for use by any young customers and there is a baby changing facility within the Visitor's Centre.

Dogs are not allowed into the Coffee Shop itself (with the exception of Guide Dogs, Dogs for the Disabled or similar), however, you are more than welcome to take your dogs into the courtyard or our pet-friendly indoor seating area and coffee shop staff will happily bring your order out to you. Pets are also welcome in the gift shop and all other areas of the Visitor's Centre. Please see below for rules about dogs on the premesis.

Please come along and pay the coffee shop a visit!

Dogs are welcome here at the trust, although as of 2017 we have limited grounds and the walks are no longer avaliable.

We do have some simple rules that we ask all those visiting with dogs to follow:

  • All dogs must be kept on leads at all times on site.
  • As we have veterinary clinics here at Lanwades Park, we request that only healthy dogs with up-to-date vaccinations are brought on site - in the interests of our patients that also use the area.
  • Your dog is your responsibility and should be kept under control at all times, particularly around or near to other animals on site, such as horses and ponies.
  • Please do clean up after your dog - we have plenty of dedicated bins (and bags) around the site to use. We also sell bags in the gift shop in the Visitor's Centre.
  • Please be mindful that not all visitors may be as fond of dogs as you are. Keep your dog on a lead and don't let them run up to others, especially others with dogs who may be receiving treatment here.
  • Sadly, dogs are not allowed into the coffee shop. However, they are more than welcome into the Visitors Centre and courtyard. We also have an area where you and your dog can sit inside if the weather is not so pleasant.
  • Out of bounds signs are now up in all the private areas of the site. Please respect these as these areas are now privately owned and do not allow public access.
